I thought I would include the prayer below in the post I published earlier today,  How to Effectively Bring Prayer Into the Workplace. That post ran long so I was not able to include it there, but I liked this prayer so much that I wanted to share it with you.

Lord Jesus, as I enter this workplace, I bring your presence with me.  I speak Your peace, Your grace, and Your perfect order into the atmosphere of my workplace.

I acknowledge Your Lordship over all that will be spoken, thought, accomplished, and decided this day.

Lord Jesus, I thank You for the gifts and skills that You have deposited in me.  I do not take them lightly, but commit to using them responsibly and well.

Give me a fresh supply of truth and beauty upon which to draw as I do my job today.  Bless my creativity, my ideas, my energy so that even my smallest task may bring You honor.

Lord, when I’m confused, guide me – when I’m weary, energize me.

Lord, when I’m burned out, infuse me with the light of Your Holy Spirit.

May the work I do, and the way I do it, bring hope, light and courage to all that I come into contact with today.

And Oh Lord, even in this day’s most stressful moments, may I rest in You.

In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

The author of the prayer is anonymous, but what a wonderful prayer that each of us can claim for our own.  Maybe that was the author’s intention?

This is a prayer worth printing out and keeping close to me at the office. Thanks, Brad!

This is a great prayer, Brad. I think it's important, too, as Christian entrepreneurs,to start our day by asking God for His guidance and wisdom in all of our decisions, interactions with others, etc.

Thanks for sharing this.

No problem, the author did a great job hitting all the bases with this prayer. It was just such a great prayer that I couldn't pass up sharing it. I'm glad you found it helpful too.

Absolutely Laurie. I couldn't agree with you more. Just reading this prayer changes my mood and mindset to the proper way of thinking about my work day.
