Welcome to The Christian Entrepreneur.  My name is Brad Harmon, and I am the founder, editor, and chief writer of this site.  I’d like to share with you what this site is all about.

What is The Christian Entrepreneur?

The Christian Entrepreneur is a website for those 98% of us who were not called into “full-time ministry” as a member of the clergy.  It is where ordinary Christians come to find ways to grow their businesses, or become better employees, as they seek to incorporate their faith into the workplace.

We discuss how to apply the practical principles of the Bible in our daily lives as we operate our small businesses, make a living as employees, spend our money in the market place, and leave our digital footprints on the world.

What The Christian Entrepreneur is Not

The Christian Entrepreneur is not a place where we try to convert you.  It is not a place where we will tell you how horrible of a sinner you are or that you are going to Hell.

Having said that, this is not a place where we will shy away from the truths of the Bible either.  We will tackle controversial issues like abortion, homosexuality, etc. because they impact us as Christians in the marketplace.

What Does the Bible Have to Say About Money?

The Bible addresses the subject of money over 800 times, and it was one of the most talked about subjects by Jesus Christ while He walked the earth.  Did you know that?

If God thinks the topic is that important, why don’t we hear more about it from the church?  Other than the occasional sermon on tithes and offerings, the church has been largely silent on this topic.  We can’t continue going on this way.

How Can The Christian Entrepreneur Help Me?

The early church was comprised of authentic followers of Christ who reached out to their fellow Christians, and their surrounding community, to make a difference by meeting real needs in a powerful way.  That’s the type of virtual community I want to build here.

Christian Entrepreneurs

The original vision for this site was to help you grow your small business, your home based business, or your network marketing opportunity using proven, practical, and Biblical financial principles.  If you run a business Christian Entrepreneurs is for you.

Digital Footprints

If you’re like me, it’s hard to imagine going through the day without interacting with a digital device.  How do we harness the power of technology to become more productive and better communicators?

Digital Footprints looks at the nuts & bolts of blogging and social media, as well as, how we can use it to make an impact for God.

Marketplace Christianity

Jesus said,  “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”  Marketplace Christianity looks at how we bring our faith into the workplace, spend our money, and handle our personal finances.

How Can I Help?  Where Do I Begin?

First, and foremost, please pray for this site and the virtual community building around it.  I am working on the mailing list for this site, but until then the best way to keep in the loop is to Subscribe to My RSS Feed.

If you are part of the social media scene, please Follow Me on Twitter and Become a Fan of The Christian Entrepreneur on Facebook.  I’m so excited about what God is starting to do in this community and that you want to be a part of it.

Don’t forget.  For this to truly be an authentic community we must keep a dialogue going.  Whether it’s guest posting, commenting, or interacting on social media sites it needs to be a two way flow.  I look forward to getting to know you.
